We’re still buzzing with excitement from our participation in the Valtakunnalliset AMK-päivät conference held at Messukeskus in Helsinki on May 7th and 8th! This year’s event, expertly hosted by Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, was a fantastic opportunity to connect with the vibrant Finnish higher education community.
The Valtakunnalliset AMK-päivät conference stands as a significant annual event in the Finnish higher education calendar. It serves as a vital platform for professionals, educators, stakeholders, and leaders within the Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences (AMK) sector to come together. The conference fosters collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the discussion of key trends and challenges shaping vocational higher education in Finland. This year the event drew an impressive 450 participants.
The conference kicked off with an inspiring keynote address from the President of the Republic of Finland, Alexander Stubb, setting a high bar for the insightful discussions and networking that followed.
For Oracle Academy, this event marked a significant milestone – our very first participation in a Finnish higher education conference! It was truly inspiring to meet so many passionate educators and stakeholders dedicated to shaping the future of education in Finland. We had invaluable conversations about how Oracle Academy can play a vital role in empowering students with the crucial technology skills they need to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
A special thank you to Ronja Hjulberg, our OCI Sales Executive, who voluntarily leads the Oracle Academy program in Finland with immense passion. We also deeply appreciate Sanna Hämäläinen and Annina Järvinen for their invaluable volunteer support at the event. Your dedication made our participation a success!
We left Helsinki feeling energized and optimistic about the connections we made. We’re eagerly looking forward to building on these relationships and continuing to support Finnish educators and students in their journey to acquire future-ready technology skills. Kiitos Helsinki, and we can’t wait to be back!
