Oracle Academy Indonesia took the learning experience to new heights with an on-site workshop titled, “Oracle Academy Cloud Day: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Hands-on Workshop.” Held at the Oracle Indonesia office on July 9, 2024, the event buzzed with the energy of 28 enthusiastic faculty members from 10 universities across Greater Jakarta. These educators weren’t just there to learn — they were ready to dive headfirst into the world of cloud computing and will transfer their knowledge to their students.
The workshop kicked off with opening remarks by Nurul Huda, Manager, Oracle Academy Southeast Asia. She painted a vivid picture of how Oracle Academy is supporting education all around the world. She also introduced the Oracle Academy Cloud Program (OACP), which provides educators with a treasure trove of cloud resources, allowing them to enrich their teaching curricula and guide students on their journey towards Oracle Cloud professional certifications.
Next, the keynote speaker, Garibaldi, Senior Technology Solution & Cloud Architect, Oracle Indonesia, captivated the audience with a deep dive into the wonders of OCI. He expertly untangled the complexities of key cloud concepts like Identity and Access Management (IAM), Networking, Compute, Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle APEX, and AI Services. This comprehensive overview ensured everyone was on the same page before the real experience began.
The heart of the workshop lay in its interactive sessions. Guided by Garibaldi, experienced cloud expert, participants gained the confidence and skills to integrate OCI into their teaching. By deploying and managing cloud resources firsthand, the educators learned how to empower their students to become the next generation of cloud experts.
