Oracle Academy highlighted free curriculum, cloud technologies and educator professional development for higher education institutions at the 17th Inter-University Council for East Africa Annual Conference, held in Nairobi, Kenya, from July 29–31, 2026. The conference brought together Ministry of Education officials, higher education leaders, policymakers, researchers, industry representatives, and development partners under the theme ‘Powering the future of higher education in East Africa through strategic partnerships and collaborations.’
During the session ‘Collaboration for digital transformation and AI-enabled higher education systems’, Lorna Juma, Oracle Academy Program Manager, Africa, shared perspectives on how institutions could strengthen readiness for AI through educator enablement, practical learning, and industry collaboration.
