Oracle Academy deepened its collaboration with institutions across Kenya through a diverse range of engagement activities designed to inspire innovation, strengthen academic collaboration, and prepare learners for the future of work. Throughout the year, Oracle Academy worked closely with educators, students, and institutional leaders to promote digital transformation, curriculum innovation, entrepreneurship, and practical technology skills.

In collaboration with the Global Peace Foundation, Oracle Academy delivered two Transforming Education Bootcamps that advanced digital knowledge and skills teaching across both higher education and K–12 institution educators. The first bootcamp, hosted at Mount Kenya University, brought together higher education educators to explore innovative teaching methodologies, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies that can enhance teaching and learning. The second bootcamp, held at Makini Schools, Runda, equipped K–12 educators with practical digital tools and strategies to foster innovation, computational thinking, and technology-enabled learning in their classrooms.

Oracle Academy also hosted strategic roundtable discussions with faculty at Kabarak University and participated in a Curriculum Development Review at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), supporting institutions in aligning academic programs with evolving industry needs and emerging technology trends.

Artificial intelligence remained a key focus throughout the year. Oracle Academy delivered a webinar for PAC University on Harnessing AI for Higher Education, exploring how AI can enhance teaching, learning, research, and institutional efficiency. At the 2nd Digital Transformation Summit hosted by the Technical University of Kenya (TUK), Oracle Academy presented on Scaling Digital Transformation in Kenyan Institutions, sharing practical strategies for accelerating institutional innovation through technology.

Hands-on learning and student innovation were central to Oracle Academy’s campus engagements. The program supported the Annual Leadership Summit and Project Pitching Contest with the University of Nairobi and the Project Management Students Association, participated in the Inter-University Hackathon at JKUAT, and collaborated with the University of Nairobi and the Construction and Real Estate Students Association during the ConstructED Hackathon. Students applied project management principles using Oracle Primavera P6 to optimize the construction schedule for a community-driven health clinic, demonstrating how digital technologies can solve real-world infrastructure challenges.

Oracle Academy also extended its impact beyond universities by equipping students from St. Joseph’s Rapogi Secondary School with foundational object-oriented programming skills using Java. Through interactive coding sessions, students developed practical programming skills while strengthening their computational thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Additional engagements included panel discussions during USIU Connect, inspiring future innovators at the IEEE Kenya Summer Tech Camp, showcasing student innovation at the Kirinyaga University Innovation Fair, and supporting entrepreneurship and career readiness during Tharaka University’s 5th Career, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week (CIEW).

Through these collaborations, Oracle Academy reinforced its commitment to empowering educators, equipping students with industry-relevant digital skills, and strengthening education ecosystems that drive digital skills enablement across Kenya.
