I am very proud to announce another award for Oracle Academy in Africa.
Recently, the African Summit on Entrepreneurship and Innovation by ASENTI awarded Oracle Academy the ‘Outstanding Impact Award 2022’ in the Education and Technology category in recognition of the program’s commitment and positive impact in the Kenyan educational sector.
The event, which took place in November 2022, is a leading annual forum that brings together startups, policymakers, innovators, cybersecurity experts, educators, and students for intensive interaction, networking, and education on entrepreneurship and innovation across Africa. The conference attracted more than 1,000 registered attendees, with a keynote speech by H.E. Huria Ali Mahdi, State Minister, National ICT and Digital Economy Sector, Ministry of Innovation and Technology, Ethiopia.
Oracle Academy Program Manager Bekere Amassoma joined a panel discussion on ‘Blending Education and Technology: Enhancing digital learning for higher education in Africa’. She explained how Oracle Academy has worked with institutions of higher learning for many years and the impact made especially on digital learning. She also reiterated how the program has supported innovation among learners in Kenya and the opportunities available for future learning.
