We’ve just released the Oracle Solaris 11.4 SRU72. It is available via ‘pkg update’ from the support repository or by downloading the SRU from My Oracle Support Doc ID 2433412.1.

This SRU adds the following new features or modified interfaces:

  • Added getumask(2) system call & pr_umask field in /proc/<pid>/psinfo
  • IOV_MAX increased from 16 to 1024
  • LibYAML added
  • MDB API to get annotations by value
  • MDB constants API and annotation update
  • Mapping LDoms kstats into sstore and WebUI
  • New ‘noresvport’ mount option for NFS
  • Per-disk kstats for vds and zvblk host drivers

  • Predefined conditional mapfile identifiers for high level object types
  • Remote protocol identifier added to audit_syslog output for NFS and SMB file access
  • Suricata introduced

  • ZFS clonedir mountpoints under .zfs/clone
  • access(2) family of system calls always return EACCES for X_OK for ordinary files without any X bit set
  • elfdump -L option for displaying PLT details
  • iostat collection in Statistics Store
  • kstat2 human readable output does not URI encode anymore
  • lastlog, utmpx, & wtmpx timestamp range extended from 2038 to 2106
  • p_event_ts option to enable ISO8601 UTC event timestamps in audit_syslog
  • pam_krb5 option to limit expiry warning period
  • vHBA obtains unfiltered scsi_transport(9f) status from Service Domain
  • vHBA now supports asynchronous IO by default
  • HMP has been updated to 2.4.10.0
