We’re excited to share that PeopleTools 8.63 is now generally available on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

PeopleTools 8.63 continues our investment in helping customers modernize, extend, secure, and operate their PeopleSoft applications. This release includes enhancements across AI enablement, search, security, user experience, lifecycle management, operations, integration, and deployment.

A major focus in this release is helping customers prepare for AI-powered integration scenarios. The Natural Language Search Service helps interpret natural language questions and return secured PeopleSoft Search results through a REST API. Model Context Protocol (MCP) server support gives AI agents, AI-powered applications, and other MCP-enabled integrations a standards-based way to interact with PeopleSoft through delivered and customer-defined APIs.

PeopleTools 8.63 also brings AI assistance into the developer workspace. Application Designer AI Assist helps developers work directly in Application Designer to explain code, suggest improvements, troubleshoot issues, generate code, and create documentation-style summaries.

Search continues to get smarter and easier to use. Semantic Search helps users find relevant results based on meaning and context, not just exact keywords. Typo Tolerance helps users recover from misspelled search terms.

PeopleTools 8.63 includes important security enhancements as well. SAML 2.0 support helps customers integrate PeopleSoft with identity providers that support the SAML 2.0 standard, including both identity provider-initiated and service provider-initiated sign-on flows. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) using time-based one-time password (TOTP) provides an additional layer of protection after successful primary authentication.

These are just a few highlights from the release. PeopleTools 8.63 also includes additional capabilities across usability, administration, lifecycle management, operations, integration, and deployment, including PeopleSoft Log Analyzer, Customization Groups, support for webhooks, Middleware DPK Builder, PeopleTools container images, and more.
