The Australian Taxation Office (‘ATO’) has released the PAYG Tables for the Tax Year 2026-27. The updates include the personal income tax cuts announced in the 2025–26 Budget and legislated through the Treasury Laws Amendment (More Cost-of-Living Relief) Act 2025. The tax cuts are scheduled to apply from the 2026–27 income year. The ATO has also updated the relevant tax tables and withholding schedules effective 01 July 2026, with revised versions of:

  • Schedule 1 – Statement of formulas for calculating amounts to be withheld (NAT 1004), and
  • Schedule 8 – Statement of formulas for calculating study and training support loan components (NAT 3539) 
  • Schedule 9 – Changes in Schedule 9 Tax table for seniors and pensioners (NAT 4466)
  • Schedule 15 – Tax tables for working holiday makers remains unchanged (NAT 75331)
