Are you one of those customers who modified Job Data with your custom fields and/or pages?  If your answer is YES, then you are like 99% of the HCM customers who had modified Job Data in some way.

Customizations can be expensive to maintain and makes it difficult to take delivered images or enhancements quickly.  PeopleSoft delivered Drop Zones to help eliminate customizations and to use configurations to meet your business needs.

With the Modernization of Job Data, there are Drop Zones at the top and bottom of every Fluid Job Data page PLUS 4 additional Drop Zones pages for you to use to configure your custom fields/pages in Job Data. That means you can have custom fields specific to work location or benefits or any other job data page which can be accommodated as a part of the main page itself.

Drop Zones are configurable and allow you to add fields to pages without actually customizing the component or page definition. The newly added “custom” fields are considered and processed as a part of the main page. This helps ensures minimum life cycle impact.

 This will also ensure:

  • Reduced maintenance cost for customers having multiple customization
  • Customization can be included or excluded by using configurations, so limited technical involvement.
  • Highly reduced efforts for retro fitting customization.

Using Page & Field Configuration the visibility of Drop Zones can be controlled by selecting Yes or No to display.
