Oracle’s Permitting and Licensing 23C update has been released as of July 7, 2023. Every quarter, Oracle releases new features to enhance each of the four offerings in our Permitting and Licensing solution: Permits, Planning and Zoning, Code Enforcement and Business Licenses.
Over 20 features have been included in 23C
With more than 20 features in Permitting and Licensing 23C, the release includes something for each of the users and business processes we support. For example:
Permits: Subapplications
Subapplications allow public users and agencies to link permits together as part of multi-permit projects. They also allow for the enforcement of rules between the primary (top-level) application and the subapplications managing interdependencies in areas like inspections.
Planning and Zoning: Planning Activity Updates
Planners now have the option to use the agency’s work or holiday calendars to avoid scheduling planning activities on weekends or holidays. This makes our Planning Activities feature even more valuable, ensuring your agency meets mandated dates for key tasks in a way that accounts for real-world staff schedules.
Code Enforcement: Total Fees by Category
Agency staff and property owners can now see a clear breakup of agency-defined fee types that are assessed such as citation, violation, and abatement fees.
Business Licenses: Single Intake for Multiple Licenses
When applicants need multiple licenses to cover the activity taking place at a particular business, they can now select all the license types they need to apply for and fill them out in one intake form. This saves the applicant time, avoids duplicate data entry, and streamlines the intake process.
When submitted, the agency will continue to review each application according to its required approval process.
