We continue to enhance Oracle Permitting and Licensing in 26B with new capabilities. These features improve efficiency, increase flexibility, and deliver a more modern user experience. Below are the latest innovations now available across our four offerings: Permits, Planning and Zoning, Code Enforcement, and Business Licenses.
AI Summarization of Inspection Comments
The AI Summarization of Inspection Comments feature introduces on-demand, AI-generated summaries within the Inspection Result page of the Inspector application. This functionality consolidates checklist results, item outcomes, and inspector comments into a concise narrative.
The generated summary highlights major violations, failed items, and impacted reference entities—such as specific building floors referenced in comments. Inspectors can also copy and save the summary as an editable inspection comment.

This capability reduces the time spent reviewing inspection data and improves the clarity and consistency of inspection documentation.
Locator for Reversed Geocoding
With the Locator for Reversed Geocoding, agencies can now configure their own reverse geocoding service instead of relying solely on the default ESRI locator.
By entering a custom geocoding locator URL in the GIS Attribute Mapping setup, agencies gain flexibility to integrate with their own GIS solutions. If no custom locator is defined, the system continues to use the standard ESRI service.
This enhancement provides greater control over geospatial data and supports agency-specific location services.
Revenue Code Fields for Fee Percentage Allocation
The Revenue Code Fields for Fee Percentage Allocation feature allows agencies to define up to four revenue codes per fee item, each with customizable percentage allocations.
This enables agencies to split fee revenue across multiple accounts, supporting more detailed financial tracking and integration with external accounting systems. Revenue code details are configured directly within the fee item setup.

This feature enhances financial flexibility and supports more accurate revenue distribution.
Contractor License Expiration Monitoring and Email Notifications
The Contractor License Expiration Monitoring and Email Notifications feature enhances the Business Rules Framework by automating processes related to contractor license and insurance expirations.
Agencies can configure rules to:
- Send notification emails when licenses or insurance are nearing expiration or have expired
- Automatically resolve contractor conditions tied to expiration events
With configurable communication templates and automated actions, this feature reduces manual effort, ensures timely notifications, and helps maintain compliance.
Redwood Experience for the Inspection Console for Agency Users
The Redwood Experience for the Inspection Console for Agency Users introduces a modernized interface for managing inspections.
This update streamlines the user experience with enhanced filtering options for inspection status and date, along with a cleaner and more intuitive layout. Agencies can also configure default filters to improve usability.

These improvements help agency staff manage inspections more efficiently.
Redwood Experience for the Communication Center
The Redwood Experience for the Communication Center delivers an updated interface for managing alerts, emails, notifications, and error logs.
With improved navigation and a consistent Redwood design, users can more easily monitor and manage communications across the system—without requiring additional setup.

This enhancement simplifies communication management and improves overall usability.
Redwood Experience for Projects
The Redwood Experience for Projects introduces a refreshed user interface for the Project List and Project Details pages.

This modernized experience improves usability and visibility into project data. Agencies can enable the feature through opt-in and run required processes to ensure proper data indexing.
These updates provide a more intuitive and efficient way to manage projects within the system.
