We’re thrilled to announce the release of Oracle Permitting and Licensing 26A on January 2, 2026. Oracle Permitting and Licensing 26A includes feature functionality for all our offerings including Permits, Planning and Zoning, Code Enforcement, and Business Licensing to streamline workflows and enhance overall user experience.

Let’s look at what’s been delivered!

Agencies can now enable direct integration with external GIS sources for real-time, property data retrieval. The new Enable External Address Information Data Retrieval feature connects Permitting and Licensing with platforms such as ESRI S3, letting users and system processes search property information specifically by address. By using single layer data search, this feature significantly reduces system load and retrieval time, improving end-user efficiency. Supplementary data, like parcel districts, is retrieved in the background, further enhancing speed and responsiveness.

Put powerful AI assistance right inside your staff’s daily workflow by embedding AI agents directly in transaction pages. Using AI Agents published from the Oracle AI Agent Studio, you can integrate configurable AI-powered Assist buttons into critical list and detail pages (including Address, Parcel, Business, and Contractor pages). Staff can ask questions and receive contextual guidance directly within the application. Plus, with dynamic container sections and full control via Oracle Visual Builder Studio, agencies can tailor the interface to their needs.

You can now automate your business license renewal process by converting estimated renewal costs into payable invoices as license expiration approaches. Once the fees are paid, renewal records and related notifications are generated automatically, saving administrators time and reducing manual intervention—all while keeping your records accurate and up to date.

Offer flexibility with Partial Payment for Multiple Fee Items. Users can submit payments for less than the full amount due on selected applications or accounts, depending on agency configuration. This feature ensures an accurate, real-time accounting of paid and outstanding balances, while empowering users to better manage their finances.

Quickly find and audit critical documents by consolidating Code Enforcement attachments. All code enforcement case attachments are neatly organized into three tabs: Case, Intake, and All. Track what gets uploaded, by whom, and at what stage in the process. This clear, logical structure minimizes search time and bolsters transparency for case management.

These are just a few of the many features we’ve delivered in Oracle Permitting and Licensing 26A to help you and your agency be more efficient. To learn more about these features and the additional features in 26A see the following:
