In 2025, Oracle Observability and Management services introduced a significantly enhanced and robust performance monitoring and observability solution. Customers now benefit from comprehensive visibility, advanced analytics, and proactive tuning capabilities, providing deeper understanding and control over their Oracle cloud databases, including Exadata Cloud and Autonomous Database. This year brought forward several key enhancements aimed at deepening database insights, improving disaster recovery preparedness, and streamlining cross-cloud operations. Here are some of the highlights:
In-Depth Performance Monitoring for Oracle Database@Azure
With the expansion of Oracle Database@Azure, users can now leverage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Database Management and Ops Insights for comprehensive performance monitoring. These integrations provide enhanced visibility, robust analytics, and proactive performance tuning, enabling hybrid and multi-cloud customers to optimize deployments confidently.
Visibility Through Improved Management Dashboards
We introduced more insightful and customizable dashboards in Database Management, enabling users to track operational health and usage trends even more effectively. These advanced dashboards transform complex data into actionable intelligence, driving smarter decision-making and quick troubleshooting.

Gain AI-powered Insights from Enterprise Manager Data
Cloud Extensions for Enterprise Manager (EM) is an Oracle feature, especially in EM 24ai, that integrates advanced Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) capabilities, such as Ops Insights’ AI-driven capacity planning and SQL insights, directly into the on-premises Enterprise Manager console. This integration provides a unified view for hybrid cloud management without requiring separate patching or logins and seamlessly extends EM’s monitoring to cloud databases. It uses Cloud Bridges to offload analytics to the cloud, making EM more scalable and powerful for hybrid environments.

Enhanced Disaster Recovery and High Availability Monitoring
Staying prepared for the unexpected was a top priority in 2025. New capabilities in Database Management now support holistic fleet monitoring and high availability (HA) readiness. These features simplify disaster recovery planning, making it easier to monitor large-scale environments and preemptively address potential risks.
Native Tablespace Management
The new tablespace management enhancement allows users to create, modify, and drop tablespaces; supports Oracle Managed Files (OMF), Automatic Storage Management (ASM), and big files; and enables options to set auto-extend for datafiles or define default tablespaces. This capability is available for both Oracle Base Database and Exadata cloud databases. Having a standardization strategy for your database deployments is important. By using these tablespace management features, you can achieve easier life-cycle management, increased security, and reduced human error.
Looking Ahead
With these innovations, Oracle continues to lead in observability and database management, delivering the tools and insights needed to run mission-critical workloads securely and efficiently. As we enter 2026, we remain committed to providing capabilities that make database operations safer, smarter, and more scalable.
