In 2025, MySQL and MySQL HeatWave embarked on an ambitious journey across various global AI events, highlighting their dedication to advancing AI and cloud solutions in the ever-evolving tech landscape. Oracle has recognized the pivotal shift towards AI and cloud technologies as essential drivers of the 21st century, embracing this trend with a recent official announcement that underscores its commitment to prioritizing AI and cloud innovations.  

We are excited to summarize the list of AI conferences where MySQL and MySQL HeatWave played a significant role throughout 2025. These events provided valuable opportunities to engage with industry leaders and showcase our commitment to advancing AI and cloud solutions. 

Gitex ASIA: Transforming Telecommunications 

The first major event on the calendar was Gitex ASIA in Singapore from April 23-25, 2025. This year’s theme explored the AI-Powered Shift: From Telco to Techco, focusing on how traditional telecommunication companies are evolving into technology-centric organizations. Mohan Srinivasan, VP of Cloud Engineering JAPAC at Oracle, was a main speaker on the panel discussing foundational shifts towards technology platforms. His insights emphasized AI’s transformative role, detailing innovations and practical use cases that Oracle provides to techcos. 

Audience feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many appreciating the interactive and informative nature of the panel discussions. Attendees felt that these conversations were timely and relevant, showcasing real ways AI is reshaping industry landscapes. The Oracle booth attracted lots of attention as well, especially from visitors eager to learn about MySQL HeatWave. 

TechCrunch AI Sessions: A Gathering of Innovators 

TechCrunch: AI Sessions took place in Berkeley, CA on June 5, 2025, bringing together over 1,200 leaders in AI, venture capital, and innovation. Heather VanCura, Vice President, External Standards and Community Engagement and Sandeep Agrawal, Consulting Principal Member of Technical Staff, HeatWave, Oracle spoke to the audience about the advancements of MySQL HeatWave and its potential for enhancing AI-based solutions. 

During their session, they shared how HeatWave enables developers to create AI applications that boost productivity in various sectors. The presentation underscored vital points on leveraging HeatWave’s in-database machine learning capabilities and vector store, making it easier for developers to build advanced applications without wrestling with disparate systems. Feedback on Oracle’s participation was highly encouraging, with many attendees expressing interest in continuing the exploration of HeatWave’s capabilities. The Oracle booth captured significant attention throughout the event, highlighting MySQL’s solutions effectively. 

AI Summit London: Driving Collaboration 

The AI Summit London, held on June 11-12, 2025, featured a panel discussion centered on “Shattering Silos: Driving Collaboration for Smarter Decisions.” Oracle contributed to the discourse on how collaboration across sectors can maximize the impact of AI technology in decision-making processes. 

Attendees shared that the event was not only insightful but also highly engaging, with lively discussions between panelists and the audience. Many highlighted the importance of such forums in fostering a collaborative environment among industry leaders to drive innovation. Specifically, feedback regarding Oracle’s participation was overwhelmingly positive, noting the impactful discussions surrounding MySQL HeatWave’s capabilities. The HeatWave technology was positioned as a game-changer for enterprises looking to leverage AI in database management, with particular emphasis on its ability to handle complex queries and enhance data processing speeds. 

The Oracle booth received commendations for it being an interactive hub, allowing participants to experience firsthand the capabilities of MySQL HeatWave. Many attendees expressed their appreciation for the demonstrations that showcased HeatWave’s advanced analytics features and its integration into AI solutions. The hands-on experiences provided valuable insights into how businesses can utilize HeatWave to optimize decision-making and operational efficiency. 

MySQL & MySQL HeatWave at TechWeek Singapore 2025 

MySQL and MySQL HeatWave had a prominent presence at TechWeek Singapore 2025, held on October 8-9, where they participated in insightful panel discussions and keynote sessions that addressed pressing challenges and opportunities in the AI and data infrastructure landscape. Notably, the panel on “AI & Data Infrastructure: Challenges & Opportunities for Asia-Pacific” with Laurent Herviou, APAC AI Specialist Leader, Oracle brought together experts from diverse fields, including Robert Jenkin (CEO, Cloudsigma) and Jonathan Chan (Head, Global Innovation, Julius Baer), to discuss how the region can leverage its unique strengths to lead the global AI revolution. The discussions highlighted the necessity for a robust regulatory environment and strategic investments in data infrastructure, with an emphasis on nurturing a skilled talent pool to adequately prepare the workforce for AI advancements. 

Additionally, Mohan Srinivasan, Vice President of Cloud Engineering at Oracle, delivered a compelling keynote titled “Accelerate Your Enterprise AI: From Proof to Production,” showcasing Oracle’s commitment to guiding organizations through their AI adoption journeys. On the second day, Michael Smith Jr., Cloud Developer Advocate and Investor Evangelist at Oracle, presented a keynote focused on enhancing productivity through AI and cloud adoption, emphasizing practical strategies for leveraging technology to optimize operations and drive innovation. 

In addition to the key discussions, Oracle also hosted sessions on “AI Cloud Security: Strengthening Resilience against Evolving Threats,” led by Ruchika Arora, and participated in the panel “Data, Diversity, and Power: Women Shaping Infrastructure in Asia-Pacific,” featuring Tidaporn Santimanawong, further showcasing their commitment to addressing key issues in the AI and data landscape.  

Feedback from attendees praised the collaborative exchange of ideas and the practical insights shared during the sessions, asserting that such discussions are vital for ensuring that the Asia-Pacific region can fully embrace the generative AI opportunity. Overall, MySQL and MySQL HeatWave’s participation underscored their leading role in advancing AI initiatives and building a resilient data ecosystem in APAC.

TEDAI San Francisco: Celebrating Innovation 

The final event on our 2025 roster was TEDAI in San Francisco from October 21-22, 2025. Oracle played a crucial role here with two panels and a Hackathon that focused on generative AI and its applications. Jun Qian, VP of Generative AI at Oracle, discussed the cutting-edge design patterns behind autonomous AI agents, while Elena Sunshine, Director of Product Management, highlighted the evolving skills necessary for the workforce in the age of intelligent systems and open AI roles

During the Hackathon, attendees participated in building applications using OCI Free Tiers, and the live painting that took place won accolades for its creativity, symbolizing the intersection of art and technology in innovative applications. Feedback from attendees highlighted the engaging atmosphere and the valuable hands-on experience that complemented the panel discussions.
