Meet the changemakers

Joseph Paul Achilles Jr. Sarabosing

Joseph loves being part of his clients’ missions. The best part of his job is being able to code, build, and develop, all to make the lives of consumers easier. “We have an edge on the latest application updates and products used in utilities with Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF),” the senior consultant tells us proudly. He delivers world-class solutions that drive positive change – because this is the kind of job that makes a real difference.

Anne joined Oracle Energy and Water 18 months ago, inspired by our rapid innovation and technology solutions. “Most of the projects here use the latest technology, so it was an opportunity to enhance my skillset and grow my career,” she explains.

For her, the most exciting part is getting out of her comfort zone. “I get to challenge myself by adapting to changes in technology and updating my knowledge,” Anne enthuses. Over time, she’s taken on new projects and tasks, and found the support she needed to build her skills.

Before joining Oracle, Mark already worked with our energy and water applications as a QA tester. When he got a call from an Oracle recruiter, it lit a spark. “It got me thinking,” he reflects. “Why not join Oracle and learn more about the company that created the applications I had worked with for almost my entire working life?”

Today, he’s working with exciting clients across the globe. That’s his favorite part of being an Oracle consultant. “Even if I don’t go to their countries, I get a glimpse of how businesses work around the world,” he shares.

Life after work
There was another benefit to changing company for Mark. “Before, I was facing impossible deadlines week after week that made us work overtime every day and over the weekends,” he recalls. “Here, we only need to do overtime when it’s justified.”

Suddenly, he had a manageable workload. Mark found time to grow his career with free training, while still having plenty of time to excel in his role and pick up some after-hours hobbies. That turned out to be life changing.

“The year I joined Oracle, I started going on hiking trips – and that’s how I met my wife! I think we can say that’s a significant personal growth on my part,” he laughs.

Being able to contribute to the success of projects while still having time for family and life outside work has made a huge difference to Anne, who recently gave birth to a baby girl. “As a working mom, at the end of the day I still have time for my baby,” she shares. “Oracle is a good place for employees who have their own family.”

Work-life balance has helped create a stress-free environment for Joseph as well. “If you think there’s no life after work, you might be wrong,” he advises. Social events like lunches out and game nights help make the workplace fun too!

Get career-changing training
Reflecting on his growth since joining our team, Joseph tells us, “I’ve learned to trust myself more. I get free training and certification while working on the latest products with talented colleagues.”

Training and certification are not only free – manageable workloads mean you’ll actually have the time to learn, grow, and reach your goals.

Mark is proud of everything he’s achieved at Oracle so far. He values the camaraderie on his team, the work-life balance, and the in-depth training. More than that, he appreciates his achievements being recognized.

“Oracle Energy and Water spotlights employees who show dedication to their work. That inspires me to give my best to every task. Because Oracle appreciates and recognizes its employees, you can rest assured you’ll grow more than you can imagine.”

“If you’re looking for career growth, Oracle is the best choice,” Anne agrees. These consultants are building fulfilling careers while making their mark on energy and water companies around the world – and you could join them.
