The value and dedication that veterans bring to Oracle can’t be overstated. Now, with our cloud and AI initiatives growing like never before, and our data centers spreading and expanding to support them, we need the unique skills that the veteran community brings more than ever. We’re passionate about finding talented people who can help us meet the goals of our customers, and Saint Martin’s University’s Server and Cloud Application: Data Center Technician pathway supplies the skills that make it happen.
This 16-week program sets transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses up to succeed in the thriving world of data center operations and infrastructure. With a mix of classroom sessions, labs, and professional coaching, participants will gain the skills and certifications needed to launch a career in one of the most crucial parts of the tech industry.
Opening doors
Adam Takata, director of Washington Vets to Tech (WaV2T), sees the potential. “We’re aligning our training with one of the most essential sectors in today’s digital economy: data centers,” he explains. “The skills participants gain can open doors to employment opportunities and long-term career growth.”
Beyond the educational opportunity, we believe that those who’ve served, continue to serve, and those who support them should be empowered to succeed beyond military life when ready. It’s an outlook we share with education experts like Dave Olwell, PhD and interim provost at Saint Martin’s University.
“Saint Martin’s is proud to serve those who have served our country,” he’s keen to add. “This collaboration with Oracle not only strengthens our mission but delivers high-impact education to a community that deserves every opportunity to thrive in civilian life.”
GI Bill
Data center technicians like naval veteran Jacqueline Zendejo play a critical role in ensuring the reliable operation of data centers that power the cloud solutions that businesses and users depend on every day. Demand for these technical experts is only growing, and with the skills and certifications gained through the program, you’ll be well-equipped to hit the ground running.
It also offers a comprehensive range of benefits, including GI Bill funding, scholarships, and housing for active-duty participants. With a daily schedule that includes classes from Monday to Friday, participants will have ample opportunity to engage with instructors, mentors, and peers.
