Intelligent Advisor Release 23C (12.2.32) is now available for public cloud and private cloud (on-premise) customers.
Be sure to also review the features added to 23B since our last post.
Updated version of Intelligent Advisor Flow Component in Visual Builder (Monthly Update 2)
There has been a minor version update (v2.2.0) to the Intelligent Advisor Flow component in Visual Builder. (The previous version was 2.1.0.)
This release includes the following new features:
- Custom control rendering by exposing the control model as the parameter of a template slot component property
- External CSS override for standard control rendering
- Signature control rendering
- Horizontal navigation train (as an alternative to the existing vertical navigation tree)
- HTML styling for the caption and option text of controls
- Manual geolocation collecting with a button click
- Custom navigation button labels for an individual flow page
- Configurable rows and remaining character display for the text area control
- The updated flow scheme with business user oriented custom property names
- Controlling content width on small device screens
- Layout alignment at both group level and individual control level
- Forced offline mode in the Intelligent Advisor Flow Session Manager
This release also includes some improvements and bug fixes for existing features:
- Provides more custom rendering options for field group and record collect controls
- Clarifies and enhances the distinguished flow stage and the confirmation group concepts
- Fixes the dropdown control rendering issue on certain flow versions
- Fixes the potential flow metadata caching issues that could block the start of a flow
Updated version of Intelligent Advisor Mobile Application Template (Monthly Update 2)
The mobile application template provided in Visual Builder to support building a web application that uses an Intelligent Advisor flow has been updated. The new version is 2.0.0.
Changes to the template include:
- better Redwood styling
- out-of-the-box responsive layout for different sized screens
- external API authentication configurations moved from Service Connections to Service Backends
- detailed samples provided for custom control rendering with the flow component’s new template slot and CSS classes
- changes to the assessment synchronization process for better assessment metadata management
- automatic local caching of flow deployments and a new forced offline mode that only uses the explicitly cached flow
- a more flexible B2C Service account matching mechanism
- improved flow data submit sample with file attachments added
- utilization of the application translation bundle for static strings
- bug fixes for assessment management and unexpected rendering issues
Flow engine debugging user interface (Monthly Update 2)
A debugging user interface can now be shown alongside any interview started as a flow engine debug session. It allows you to trace the source of all data values from input through to rules to values shown on screen. This enables the troubleshooting of logic and relevance conditions that control behavior and visibility of interview elements. You can quickly reproduce issues by running interviews in real world conditions with actual user logins, data connectivity and the full user experience. Your IT team has complete control over when and how to expose debugging for interviews, in test and production environments.
Specify inclusions to update when using OPM build tool (Monthly Update 2)
It is now possible to update particular inclusions using the Oracle Policy Modeling build command-line tool. (Previously the only option when updating inclusions was to update all inclusions.) This enables only “safe” changes to be auto-updated.
Decision service references to parent data (Monthly Update 2)
References to attributes and relationships in the parent container chain are now allowed for decision service inputs. This alleviates the need to create additional rules to move values into entity level attributes.
Configurable name in palette for flow scheme custom properties (Monthly Update 2)
Custom properties in a flow scheme now have both a property name and a display name (previously the display name used the property name). This allows the name used at runtime and the name used by authors at design time to be independent.
Options in a flow scheme custom property (Monthly Update 2)
Scheme authors now have the ability to specify enumerated values for custom properties so that flows authors can provide only expected values.
Add comments when uploading a Policy Modeling project using the command line build tool (Monthly Update 1)
Comments can now be added when using the OPMBuild.exe to upload a project to the Hub. This enables customers with an automated process for updating projects to capture the changes made.
Load checkpoints in a debug session (Monthly Update 1)
Checkpoints that are saved from a data connector can now be loaded inside the Debugger. This can assist authors of interviews with complex loaded data to troubleshoot.
Project comment enhancements in Intelligent Advisor Hub
Comments (or descriptions) associated with project versions can now be:
- edited for Policy Modeling projects in the Hub so that errors or oversights can be corrected
- added for decision service, flow and flow projects when committed in the Hub so that significant points can be noted
These changes are supported in the Projects REST API.
Export Debugger session as REST
There is a new option in Policy Modeling Debugger to export the debug session in the JSON format used by the Batch Assess REST API. This allows you to construct and convert test cases to use for automated testing and one-off troubleshooting of Intelligent Advisor integrations.
Flow data action enhancements
This feature revises the way object arrays are mapped into a flow via either the global input data or the returned data of a custom data action. These changes affect three major areas:
- Identities for records on mapped in objects
- References to mapped in objects
- Hierarchical input mapping of objects
Example policy models for creating guided agent experiences for Fusion Sales and Service
New example policy model projects have been included in the documentation for:
- Using an interview as a sales guide
- Creating a case from an interview
- Creating a service request from an interview
