Data is at the core of everything we do at Oracle, and big data in the cloud is opening up new possibilities for businesses of all sizes.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is a Zettabyte sponsor of the Strata Data Conference, April 29-May 2 in London. We'll be showcasing a variety of partner technologies, including Cloudera, H2O.ai, DataStax, and Confluent, running live on laptops at our booth. We encourage attendees to take a seat and give these partner products running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure a try. And as always, we'll have a bunch of goodies to hand out: a vast collection of stickers, pens, stress toys, and data sheets explaining our core differentiators.
If that's not enough, here are three reasons why Strata London attendees should take a closer look at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure:
Only Oracle Cloud Infrastructure has the Autonomous Database in both Transaction Processing and Data Warehouse flavors. I'm also really excited about the value we can provide to customers who depend on systems such as Oracle E-Business Suite for ERP and Oracle's point-of-sale platforms. One area we've been exploring is how partner offerings such as H2O.ai running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure GPU instances can extend the functionality of these applications to provide forecasting and demand-prediction capabilities based on the latest advances in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure provides extremely high-performance, low-cost infrastructure. Some examples include:
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure has been doing a lot of work to create an open cloud. We're a Platinum member of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation, and we've worked with the open source community on a function as a service framework called fn. Instead of creating a proprietary infrastructure as code (IaC) framework, we worked with HashiCorp to make Terraform the IaC for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
In the big data market, we're working with leading independent software vendors (ISVs) to make it easy to run their products on our cloud. If you have questions about how we partner with an ISV you use, please drop by booth 303 at Strata London. We'd love to discuss the work we're doing here.
I'll be joined by a number of experts who are available to talk about running big data workloads on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. They include:
Additionally, I'll be speaking about how Oracle's cloud is optimized for the big data ecosystem at 11:15 a.m. on May 2. Hope to see you there!
