APEX Workflow
APEX Workflow, is a net new component in the larger APEX eco-system that provides basic Workflow capabilities to APEX Developers.
The term Workflow refers to automation of a business process, in whole or part, during which documents, information or tasks are passed from one participant to another for action, according to a set of procedural rules (e.g. sequence flow, transition conditions etc.) [Source]
In the first release of APEX Workflow the following capabilities are provided:
• A Visual Workflow Designer to create and author workflow models
• A Workflow Console for the monitoring and administration of workflows
• Workflow Runtime (Engine) for the execution of workflows
Simplifying Business Process Management Using Workflow
Tha aim of Workflow is to simplify and automate the management of complex business logic using simple repeatable steps.
