The EDB StartUP 2025 National Competition in Romania has marked yet another successful edition, wherein high school students from across the country have demonstrated their talent in database modeling. Organized by the Adfaber Association, in collaboration with Tudor Vianu National College of Computer Science in Bucharest, and sponsored by Oracle Academy, the competition brought together young technology enthusiasts who transformed theoretical knowledge into real-world applicable solutions.

Participants embraced the challenge of designing intelligent database-driven solutions aimed at monitoring and managing information about tourist areas in a city or region. This year’s theme encouraged participants to create advanced digital systems capable of identifying accommodations, restaurants, tourist attractions, and local events, while also providing detailed analyses of tourist flows. This represents a significant step in leveraging technology to address real societal issues.

Guided by dedicated teachers and driven by their passion for technology, students turned theoretical knowledge into concrete solutions, showcasing their database modeling skills and analytical thinking. The projects were evaluated by a panel of IT specialists, who assessed the originality, complexity, and practical applicability of each solution.
