The “Digital Cloud Journey – Oracle Academy” project in Italy introduces faculty and students to new technologies as strategic solutions to help them realize their business and sustainability ideas. Participating students will have the opportunity to acquire and implement hands-on practical skills by creating an end-to-end project which aims to deepen and develop their skills in the digital, communication, public speaking, and networking areas.

The objectives of the Digital Cloud Journey are:

Create involvement in the Oracle Academy Cloud Program and Oracle Academy as strategic tools with which students in Italian schools and universities can develop career-oriented pathways

Introduce and ensure thorough understanding of the Oracle Academy Cloud program and the how to use the learning resources available

Impact young people by providing them the opportunity to get involved in issues of their choice and interest

Create a concrete experience with Oracle Academy and the Oracle Academy Cloud Program by giving students the opportunity to participate in simulations, tests, and laboratories in the cloud.

Oracle Academy in Italy has created these events with Diversity Opportunity to showcase how the learning resources from the program can be embedded into learning as a strategic tool for developing skills and creativity in the digital world.

The workshops planned for the Digital Cloud Journey – Oracle Academy are:

Digital Change Challenge: This laboratory introduces the cloud journey concept. Participating students will be divided into four teams, and each team will be entrusted with an internal Oracle mentor. The teams will be provided a challenge to create a project that proposes an innovative solution centered around the proposed theme.

Innovation Revolution Lab: In the laboratory, the four teams will work on the realization of their project, exploiting the skills and suggestions proposed by Oracle’s internal mentors. The day will be introduced by an opening session carried out through a short training on the empowerment of soft skills.

Cloud Journey Lab: In this laboratory, the four teams will work on the realization of their project, being able to take advantage of the skills and suggestions proposed by Oracle’s internal mentors. The day will be introduced by an opening of the proceedings carried out through a short training on the importance of the cloud, as well as professions in the technology sector.

Final Event – Presentation of the Final Challenge: During this event, the final four competing teams will present their projects to a jury made up of the mentors who led the teams and Oracle managers, who will have the task of evaluating the best project in terms of creativity, innovation, feasibility, and digital strategy.

Giving young people the opportunity to access new technologies allows them to understand the opportunities available to them in the IT world, but also offers a real-life environment in which they can learn and practice their skills.

We look forward to seeing the great projects that the students will create!
