The 29th Edition of the World Education Summit (WES) 2024 was recently held in New Delhi, India, on July 4 and 5. Oracle Academy was honoured with an award for Outstanding Global Impact in Technology Education & Cloud Computing Teaching and Learning at this event.

The World Education Summit, known as Asia and the Middle East’s premier event on innovation in education, is celebrated for its industry excellence and serves as a dynamic platform for exchanging ideas and exploring growth opportunities.

This significant recognition at the event underscores Oracle Academy’s global commitment to fostering technological growth and innovation. The award criteria measured project objectives, target group, geographical reach, innovation, achievements, scalability of the initiative, and challenges faced while implementing the project.

Through collaborations with educational institutions and NGOs, Oracle Academy provides free tools and training to educators, empowering them to engage, inspire, and prepare students to become future technology innovators and leaders. This award is a testimony to the efforts of South Asia Team and the trust that Oracle Academy collaborators have in our offerings.

The two-day event brought together key players from various educational institutions, EdTech organizations, and government representatives. It featured over 300 speakers, more than 20 knowledge sessions, 10-plus roundtable sessions, and 70-plus partner exhibitions.

During the conference, Anuradha Sharma, Head of the Oracle Academy program in South Asia, delivered an insightful presentation on Oracle Academy’s extensive offerings and the impact on education, government, and businesses. She also discussed the Academy’s initiatives in fostering industry-academic collaborations to ensure the curriculum remains relevant to current industry trends and needs. Anuradha was also part of Panel Discussion: Blended Learning Paradigms: Merging Traditional and Digital Education, where she highlighted industry-academia collaboration and how Oracle is supporting educators to enhance their teaching and learning experiences through Oracle Academy.

The event’s magazine featured an interview with Damian Haas, Senior Director of Oracle Academy, Asia Pacific & Japan. The award was received by Mr. Kapil Makhija, Vice President of Technology Cloud at Oracle, and Mrs. Anuradha Sharma.
