More than 150 students and educators from Indonesian universities joined the Oracle Academy webinar, “Mastering Your Project Management Skills with Oracle Primavera,” on November 19, 2025. The session demonstrated how both Primavera P6 and Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC), available free from Oracle Academy, support academic learning and real-world project management across industries.

The event opened with Nurul Huda, Manager, Oracle Academy Southeast Asia, welcoming participants and introducing the Oracle Primavera curriculum. Attendees gained insights into essential project management skills and explored key differences — both in content and visual aspects — between the Primavera P6 and Primavera Cloud curricula, which both offer industry-aligned, ready-to-teach materials for educators.

Academic application came to life through Dinar Mutiara Kusumo Nugraheni, Ph.D., a lecturer at Diponegoro University (UNDIP), who initially integrated Primavera P6 in her teaching and later transitioned to Oracle Primavera Cloud to bridge project management theory and practice. Dr. Dinar emphasized the importance of practical toolkits for fostering methodical thinking and execution discipline. Using tools such as Gantt charts, network diagrams, and customizable dashboards, students gain hands-on experience with PMI/PMBOK principles in scheduling, resource planning, risk analysis, and project control. This approach aligns with Outcome Based Education (OBE), ensuring students develop targeted skills and industry-relevant competencies.

Bridging academia and industry, Nofaini,  Principal Solution Consultant at Oracle Indonesia, underscored the strategic value of Oracle Primavera for capital projects, engineering, and construction. He highlighted that proficiency in Primavera gives graduates a strong competitive advantage — especially in large Indonesian and multinational companies, where organizations demand standardized planning, governance, and robust risk-control practices. Nofaini also emphasized that Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) is engineered for real-world, high-pressure project environments. Through the OPC Mobile App, field teams can continue updating tasks, progress, and issues even without an internet connection, with all data syncing automatically once connectivity is restored. Additionally, he introduced several latest advancements, including AI-driven planning and forecasting capabilities that strengthen decision-making for future project management professionals.

Participants — many already familiar with Oracle Primavera P6 through Oracle Academy — received practical advice on adopting OPC and leveraging cloud-based, mobile tools for collaborative project planning.

Oracle Academy thanks all speakers and participants, and encourages members to explore Oracle Primavera resources, integrate relevant modules into learning, and further develop project management skills for real-world application.
