As a strategic partner, Oracle Academy joined the inaugural Education Changemakers Conference hosted by the Regional Leadership Center East Africa (RLC EA) and the Trevor Noah Foundation at the Kenyatta University Conference Center in Nairobi, Kenya.
Drawing educators, development partners, policymakers, and young leaders, the event celebrated youth-led innovation and explored transformative solutions shaping the future of education in Africa. The day featured keynote addresses, panel discussions, exhibitions, and networking opportunities designed to foster collaboration and innovation in the education sector.

As a strategic partner, Oracle contributed to the conference by leading a featured session on ‘The Role of AI in Education’ presented by Lorna Juma, Oracle Academy Program Manager, Africa. During the session, she explored how artificial intelligence is reshaping teaching, learning, and workforce readiness by enabling personalized learning experiences, improving access to digital education tools, and supporting data-driven decision-making in schools and institutions.
The discussion also highlighted the importance of preparing young people for an increasingly digital future by equipping them with technology and AI-related skills. She emphasized the role of partnerships between the private sector, educational institutions, and policymakers in ensuring that innovation remains inclusive and accessible to underserved communities across Africa.
Oracle Academy continues to expand access to artificial intelligence learning with a new AI filter available in the Oracle Academy Member Hub Course Catalog. This feature makes it easier for members to discover and access AI-focused curriculum and learning resources, including workshops, full courses, and Education Bytes. To further support educators, Oracle Academy Principal Instructors host regular Office Hours sessions where members can explore AI offerings, ask questions, and receive guidance in a language and schedule that works best for them. Faculty members can access these valuable AI teaching and learning resources by signing in to their Oracle Academy Member Hub accounts.
In addition to participating in the speaking session, Oracle engaged with conference attendees through strategic networking opportunities and conversations centered on advancing digital transformation in education. The event provided a valuable platform for sharing ideas, building partnerships, and supporting youth-driven initiatives that are creating meaningful change across the continent.
Oracle Academy’s participation reflected its ongoing commitment to empowering the next generation of African leaders through technology resources, innovation, and education.
