Dan Privott, Business Systems and Analytics Professor of Practice, Belmont University, invited Tyra Crockett Peirce, Senior Manager, and Hanna Kosbab, Marketing Specialist, from our Oracle Academy North America team, to present at the Accounting Information Systems (AIS) Educator Conference on July 12, 2024. The conference was held at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Privott has 25 years of Oracle experience and has been a Professor of Practice at Belmont University for three years.

Considered a NetSuite expert, Dan shared his expertise of utilizing Oracle NetSuite in the classroom for teaching and learning with other AIS faculty from around the country. He began the presentation by sharing his experience and rationale of using Oracle NetSuite via the Oracle Academy program. This included information about why Oracle NetSuite is a great option for faculty wanting to arm their students with foundational ERP skills as they prepare to step into industry after graduation. He followed this with several live demos of the cloud-based system; displaying different functionalities of Oracle NetSuite that help his students learn and build industry-relevant business skills as they prepare to step into the talent pipeline.

Hanna followed Dan’s presentation with a brief explanation of how to join Oracle Academy and then a question-and-answer session concluded the presentation. Our team is incredibly grateful to Dan for allowing us to join his session and introduce new and existing Oracle Academy faculty to the Oracle Academy NetSuite offering.
