In a bold step toward building a digitally empowered generation, Oracle Academy successfully rolled out a series of Oracle Academy Day and Refresher Events across six member institutions in Nigeria and Ghana, focused on cloud computing and application development.

These events, held throughout April and May 2025, brought together faculty and their students for immersive learning sessions, technical deep-dives, and live exposure to cutting-edge Oracle technologies.

Each Oracle Academy Day featured hands-on workshops in Oracle Cloud, Oracle APEX and application development frameworks. Participants learned how to build and deploy cloud-native solutions, integrate AI into apps, and collaborate on real-world projects using industry-standard tools.

The Refresher Events targeted educators who had previously participated in Oracle Academy programs, offering them opportunities to level up their skills, explore new tech trends, and gain exposure to advanced concepts in cloud architecture, DevOps, and application development.

Participating institutions included:

1. University of Nigeria, Nsukka

2. Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, Accra

3. Kola Daisi University, Oyo State

4. Leadcity University, Ibadan

5. Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Kaduna

6. Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi

Oracle Academy plans to continue scaling its impact across campuses, with upcoming initiatives including student hackathons, conferences, inclusion events, bootcamps, and free professional certification opportunities.
