On March 27, 2026, more than 300 undergraduate students across French-speaking countries in Sub-Saharan Africa joined the Oracle Academy Students Bootcamp focused on Oracle Cloud, artificial intelligence and Oracle APEX. Under the theme of ‘Unlocking Innovation with AI and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’, the event aimed to equip students with essential skills in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and low-code application development.
The bootcamp started with Dramane Ouattara, Sales Leader, Oracle Cote D’Ivoire, delivering a heartfelt goodwill message to the students. Drawing upon his extensive experience in the technology industry, he spoke on the transformative impact of artificial intelligence and cloud computing on businesses and society at large. Dramane’s message encouraged the students to explore cloud computing and carve out their career pathways to success.
Following the keynote address, Danny Gooris, Director, Oracle Academy EMEA, presented Oracle Academy learning resources. He noted Oracle Academy’s commitment to advancing technology education worldwide by providing educators with free computing and technology resources including full curriculum, learning resources, cloud technologies, and Oracle APEX for teaching and learning.

Oracle APEX Training and Virtual Labs: Guy Edaba, Instructor, Oracle Academy, conducted an in-depth session on Oracle APEX, demonstrating real-world application development in a low-code environment.
Oracle Certifications Showcase: Cristian Ene, Sales Representative, Oracle University, presented the latest Oracle University free learning resources and certifications.
Q&A & Closing: Bekere Amassoma, Oracle Academy Program Manager, Sub-Saharan Africa, wrapped up the event with an engaging question-and-answer session and closing remarks. Oracle Academy focuses on collaborating with educators worldwide, offering free curriculum and resources in tech-critical areas like cloud computing, application development and databases.
