Oracle Academy participated in the AI & Babcock Innovation and Ventures Commercialization Summit 2026 at Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria. The event, held April 21–22, 2026, under the theme ‘Building Africa’s Venture Architecture’, brought together students, academics, entrepreneurs, innovators, and industry leaders to discuss how artificial intelligence, innovation, and collaboration can drive Africa’s future. It was a great opportunity for Oracle Academy to engage with the university community and demonstrate how education and technology can work together to prepare students for tomorrow’s careers.
During the summit, Oracle Academy Program Manager Bekere Amassoma delivered a masterclass titled “Building AI-Ready Talent: From Curriculum to Real-World Skills.” The session focused on helping students and educators understand the importance of industry-aligned learning, cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, and practical digital skills. She introduced Oracle Academy’s free teaching and learning resources and shared how universities can use them to strengthen their curricula, improve student employability, and prepare graduates for careers in today’s technology-driven world.
Later, she joined a panel discussion titled “Building Africa’s Venture Architecture: Cross-Sector Insights from AI, Innovation & Industry Leaders,” moderated by Dr. Ernest Onuiri, Associate Professor of Biomedical Informatics and Machine Learning and Deputy Director of Academic Planning, Babcock University. The discussion explored how stronger partnerships between universities, industry, and government can create an environment where innovation thrives and research is transformed into real-world solutions. Bekere shared Oracle Academy’s experience working with higher education institutions across Sub-Saharan Africa to help develop AI-ready talent through curriculum, professional learning, and industry collaboration.
