Oracle Academy supported the IEEE Tech Ignite Summer School 2026, held from September 2–4, 2026, at Strathmore University, Kenya. The flagship initiative of the IEEE Kenya Section was designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world industry applications.
Held under the theme “Inclusive Engineering for Sustainable and Connected Societies”, the summer school brought together students, educators, and technology professionals to explore how technical skills, innovation, inclusivity, and entrepreneurship could contribute to equitable and future-ready development.
Samuel Ouko, Oracle Academy Ambassador and Senior Solution Consultant, Oracle, facilitated a session titled, “Cloud Infrastructure as the Backbone for Sustainable and Connected Societies.” The session explored the role of cloud technologies in enabling scalable, connected, and resilient digital services and highlighted the importance of practical cloud skills for the next generation of technology professionals.
The discussion aligns with Oracle Academy’s commitment to helping educators and students build knowledge and practical experience with technologies used across industries.
