Oracle Academy was pleased to join the third edition of Game of Code, the annual hackathon organized by Charles Telfair Education in Mauritius. The event brought together university students, educators, technology professionals, and industry partners to encourage innovation and strengthen the country’s pipeline of future digital talent.
At the event, 54 teams of computer science students from five higher education institutions took part, including Curtin Mauritius, the University of Mauritius, the University of Technology of Mauritius, Middlesex University Mauritius, and Polytechnics Mauritius. During the 12-hour challenge, participants developed technology solutions including mobile applications, web platforms, and alert systems designed to support prevention, detection, and community awareness.
Rahul Sharma, Oracle Principal Account Cloud Engineer and Oracle Academy Ambassador in Mauritius, served as a judge and encouraged participants to continue developing their technology skills. “A big thank you to the event organizers, mentors, and all participating teams for making the event a success.
