Oracle Academy supported local skills development and workforce readiness for the AI economy at U.S.-Africa Commercial Partnerships Forum in Nairobi, Kenya, on July 20, 2026. In a panel discussion titled ‘Alumni as catalysts for U.S.-Africa economic partnerships,’ Lorna Juma, Program Manager for Oracle Academy in Africa, joined Mandela Washington Fellowship alumni from Angola, Togo, and Senegal on the panel moderated by Rebecca Bell Meszaros, the Chief Impact Officer, IREX. During the discussion, Lorna emphasized that Africa’s greatest investment opportunity was its talent, and highlighted the importance of partnerships that strengthen local digital skills and develop the workforce needed to support innovation, economic growth, and long-term business success across the continent.
