As a key pillar of Oracle Spain’s Programa Enseña initiative, Oracle Academy helped deliver the fourth edition of Reto Enseña 4.0: Hack the World Cup ’26, an online hackathon held from March 23 to April 22, 2026. As a flagship activity within Programa Enseña, the event brought together more than 250 students from leading Spanish universities, including the University of Málaga (UMA), CUNEF University from Madrid, and the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca, reinforcing Oracle’s commitment to academic collaboration and the development of future talent.
Programa Enseña is Oracle Spain’s flagship education initiative, created in collaboration with universities and business schools to prepare future professionals with relevant digital skills through continuous learning in cloud computing and artificial intelligence. The program connects academia with industry by providing students and educators with innovative learning opportunities, technology resources, professional training, and collaborative initiatives that develop the technology skills most in demand in today’s workforce. Oracle Academy plays a central role by giving participating institutions free access to curriculum, software, cloud technologies, and hands-on learning experiences that help bridge the gap between education and industry.
Inspired by the FIFA World Cup, the hackathon challenged students to explore how creativity, strategy, artificial intelligence, and cloud technologies can transform fan experience. Working around one of football’s most enduring questions—Who will win the next World Cup —participants applied AI, data, and cloud technologies to develop innovative, real-world solutions while strengthening their technical, analytical, collaborative, and problem-solving skills that are increasingly valued in today’s workforce.
Through Oracle Academy, participating institutions had free access to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and a comprehensive portfolio of enterprise technologies, including Oracle AI Database 26ai, Oracle APEX, Oracle Analytics, Oracle Machine Learning, Oracle Data Science, and Oracle Generative AI. These technologies enable students to gain hands-on experience with the same tools used by organizations worldwide.
