Oracle Academy staff were delighted to attend the British Irish Chamber of Commerce UK–Ireland Higher Education, Research and Innovation Conference 2026, Towards 2034: A Shared Vision for Research and Innovation across the UK, Ireland and the EU. The conference was held at the Round Room, Mansion House, Dublin, on June 4, 2026.

Representing Oracle Academy were Lily Grafham, Oracle Academy Program Manager, UK & Nordics, and Orlaith Lawton, Senior Marketing Manager, Oracle Academy EMEA. They joined leaders from government, higher education, research organizations, and industry to explore opportunities for strengthening collaboration across the UK, Ireland, and the European Union.

Delivered in partnership with the Irish Universities Association and Research Ireland, the conference provided a valuable platform for discussions on the future of higher education, research, innovation, and talent development.

For Oracle Academy, one of the most significant themes was the importance of university-industry collaboration in preparing students for the evolving needs of the workforce. The conference also reinforced the critical role of future skills development in supporting innovation and competitiveness across the region.

Oracle Academy is committed to supporting these goals through educational resources and technology programs that help educators bring industry-relevant learning into the classroom.  Benefits such as the Oracle Academy Cloud Program and Oracle APEX provide students with opportunities to build foundational cloud knowledge and practical technology skills that can help prepare them for future academic and career success.

The event reinforced the importance of continued collaboration between the UK, Ireland, and the EU and highlighted the vital collaborative contributions that higher education, research, and innovation will make in building a more connected, competitive, and sustainable future.
