Connection between students and their future workplaces, companies, has always been very important, as only together can we ensure the world becomes a better place for all. Students can offer their theoretical knowledge, enthusiasm, and time to businesses, who in turn can provide guidance and support with experience and practical knowledge that can widen the view of students. Such collaborations help students to understand where they want to be in the future, and how they can together work on improving education, spreading knowledge and experience. It also serves to minimize the gap between the needs of companies and the value that students can provide to societies around the globe ― how they all want the world of tomorrow to look like.
This was exactly the reason why Oracle Academy joined the ESTIEM Case Study Show 2023 as a Bronze sponsor.
ESTIEM is a non-profit organization for industrial engineering and management (IEM) students who combine technological understanding with management skills. Founded in 1990, its goal is to foster relations between IEM students and support their development.
The Case Study Show is the largest project of the ESTIEM LG Belgrade, with a 17-year-old tradition that connects students and companies, and it is also the largest student project within the University of Belgrade.
Following the opening ceremony, Oracle Academy Program Manager Ljiljana Krkić and Oracle Senior HR Consultant Ljubica Avramovska joined the “Show (Me) Business Meet Up”, attended by many university students from higher educational institutions in Belgrade. In this forum, the two held informal conversations with student attendees to discuss career opportunities offered by the global technology sector.
Oracle Academy staff also was delighted to have the opportunity to take part in an interview panel of 30 students, during the “Interview Speed Dating”, at the closing of the conference. Students had the opportunity to meet Ljiljana Krkić, Oracle Technology Sales Manager Vladimir Laketa, and Oracle Principal Software Engineer, Radislav Čarapić.
