Oracle Academy was pleased to host 51 students from St. Joseph Rapogi High School computer club for its annual Career Center Day on August 29, 2024, an exciting and informative event designed to help them plan their future careers in technology. The event aimed to equip the students with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions about their academic and career paths.
The day started with an introductory session on technology career planning, where students were introduced to opportunities available within the tech industry. This session provided a broad overview of various career paths, from software development and data science to cloud computing and AI. The focus was on helping students understand the demand for tech professionals and how the industry offers a wide range of roles suited to different interests and skill sets.
Following the introduction, speakers highlighted the role of Oracle Academy in preparing students for their futures at work. Oracle Academy provides schools and students with access to free learning resources, course completion certificates, and tools that are essential for building skills in database, cloud technology, artificial intelligence, software development, and project management. The session emphasized how students can leverage Oracle Academy’s resources to gain competitive skills, making them better prepared for higher education and future employment in the technology sector.
The Career Center Day concluded with a motivational session that encouraged students to take proactive steps in shaping their futures. Students received valuable tips on how to set career goals, identify their strengths, and explore opportunities that align with their interests. The speakers also emphasized the importance of perseverance, adaptability, and staying updated with technological advancements.
