No passado julho o Oracle Academy Summit, o mais importante evento de educação tecnológica da região, foi realizado em São Paulo, Brasil, nas impressionantes instalações da Universidade São Judas. O evento, que é a primeira vez realizado presencialmente – as duas versões anteriores, em 2021 e 2022, foram virtuais – foi uma oportunidade única para professores universitários, especialistas do setor e executivos da Oracle se conectarem para compartilhar seus conhecimentos, suas experiências educacionais e os benefícios e resultados do trabalho conjunto para facilitar e melhorar o ensino de tecnologia lado a lado com a Oracle por meio do programa Oracle Academy.
Durante o evento, professores, reitores, diretores e demais membros da comunidade educacional participaram de palestras, painéis de discussão, sessões técnicas e práticas ministradas por especialistas da Oracle e tiveram espaços para se conectar com seus pares e executivos da empresa. Durante o evento foram realizadas mais de 40 sessões, sobre temas como Inteligência Artificial, Cloud, desenvolvimento low-code, bases de dados, Java, ciência de dados e análise de dados, Netsuite e Primavera, entre muitos outros.
Gabriel Vallejo, Oracle Revenue Growth Senior Vice-President para América Latina, abriu o evento apresentando o Movimento de Educação que existe na Oracle e falou sobre a importância dos professores na formação de profissionais e no ecossistema de tecnologia. Na trilha da importância dos conhecimentos e uso da Inteligência Artificial, Fabio Gomes e Alexandre Nakahara apresentaram as visões da Nvidia e da Oracle, respectivamente, sobre o tema e sua relação com a educação.
Com o objetivo de mais do que apresentar, mas também dar conhecimento prático aos professores das tecnologias Oracle, realizamos 20 sessões práticas (manhã e tarde) nas quais professores puderam estar em contato direto com especialistas Oracle e parceiros. Foram sessões de OCI, Java, Oracle DB, My SQL, Inteligência Artificial, Oracle NetSuite, entre outros temas.
Na parte da tarde, seguimos com a apresentação do programa Skills Development Initiative, por Peter Fernandes, Diretor do Oracle Global Certification Program, no qual foi abordada a importância da Certificação no processo de aprendizagem e consequente entrada no mercado de trabalho. Os professores presentes receberão vouchers de certificações do Oracle University para compartilhar com seus alunos!!!
Seguindo a agenda do evento, contamos com as ilustres presenças das Professoras Juana Nunes, Diretora de Popularização da Ciência, Tecnologia e Educação Científica – Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação, que apresentou algumas das iniciativas que estão sendo desenvolvidas pelo Governo Federal no intuito de popularizar a Ciência e Tecnologia em âmbito nacional, e Emilena Lorenzon Bianco – Vice-Diretora-Superintendente do Centro Paula Souza, importante parceiro do Oracle Academy, que apresentou o impacto que o Centro Paula Souza tem na formação de profissionais e as novas iniciativas desenvolvidas pelo Centro.
Ainda na parte de tarde, convidamos importantes parceiro para um painel no qual, Andreia Santos (Centro Paula Souza), Emerson Costa (SENAI-SP), Vinícius Cassol (Ânima) e Alexandre Louzada (FAETEC-RJ), contaram sobre como se dá a relação destes parceiros com o Oracle Academy e quais os benéficos para os estudantes deste tipo de relação empresa x escola. Fantástico conhecer e compartilhar casos de sucesso. Em outro Painel, Kadu Lopes, Oracle Customer Success Services VP, recebeu Hercules Maimone – Membro do Comitê Executivo e Sócio Líder da prática de Consultoria Empresarial na PWC Brasil e Viviane Lopes – IT Associate Director na B3, e conversaram sobre “Os desafios do desenvolvimento de Talentos no Mercado de TI”.
Durante o evento os estudantes presentes tiveram uma agenda especial! Com o apoio de especialistas da Oracle os estudantes receberam dicas e informações sobre3 certificações Foudations disponíveis no Oracle University: OCI Foundations Associate, OCI AI Foundations Associate e Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Data Foundations Associate. Além disso, tivemos a premiação do Hackaton Acadêmico da Robótica Paula Souza. Foi um evento inteiro a parte, pensado e focado em estudantes.
Já na última parte do evento, Richard Delgado, Diretor do Oracle Academy para América Latina, falou sobre o Oracle Academy e os desafios de ser um professor no contexto atual. Encerramos o evento com a presença e a fala da Marcelle Paiva, Oracle Vice-Presidente Cloud, Estratégia, Desenvolvimento de Negócios e Vendas para América Latina.
Voltar a realizar um evento presencial, para quase 400 pessoas, entre professores, gestores e estudantes, estar em contato com aqueles que são impactados e principalmente impactam a vida de milhares de estudantes e futuros profissionais com as tecnologias Oracle foi muito especial. Sem dúvida, com o apoio de professores, estudantes, parceiros, especialistas e executivos da Oracle, o Oracle Academy Summit 2024 entra para história da educação tecnológica no Brasil.

Oracle Academy Summit Brazil; an unforgettable academic meeting!
On July 18, 2024, the Oracle Academy Summit was held at the Mooca campus of São Judas University, an academic meeting that brought together personalities from academia, industry, and government.
Last July, the Oracle Academy Summit, the most important technology education event in the region, was held in São Paulo, Brazil, at the impressive facilities of São Judas University. The event, which is the first time held in person – the two previous versions, in 2021 and 2022, were virtual – was a unique opportunity for university professors, industry experts and executives from all over the world. Oracle connect to share their knowledge, educational experiences, and the benefits and outcomes of working together to facilitate and improve technology education side-by-side with Oracle through the Oracle Academy program.
During the event, teachers, deans, directors, and other members of the educational community participated in lectures, discussion boards, technical sessions, and practices delivered by Oracle experts and had spaces to connect with their peers and company executives. During the event were held more than 40 sessions, on topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Cloud, low-code development, databases, Java, data science and data analysis, Netsuite and Primavera, among many others.
Gabriel Vallejo, Oracle Revenue Growth Senior Vice President for Latin America, opened the event introducing the Education Movement that exists at Oracle and talked about the importance of teachers in training professionals and the technology ecosystem. In the track of the importance of knowledge and use of Artificial Intelligence, Fabio Gomes and Alexandre Nakahara presented the views of Nvidia and Oracle, respectively, on the subject and its relationship with education.
Aiming at more than presenting, but also giving hands-on knowledge to teachers of Oracle technologies, we conducted 20 hands-on sessions (morning and afternoon) where teachers could be in direct contact with Oracle experts and partners. OCI, Java, Oracle DB, My SQL, Artificial Intelligence, Oracle NetSuite sessions, among other topics.
In the afternoon, we proceed with the presentation of the Skills Development Initiative program, by Peter Fernandes, Director of the Oracle Global Certification Program, in which the importance of Certification in the learning process and consequent entry into the labor market was addressed. Teachers present will receive certification vouchers from Oracle University to share with their students!!!
Following the agenda of the event, we have the illustrious attendances of Professors Juana Nunes, Director of Popularization of Science, Technology and Scientific Education – Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, who presented some of the initiatives that are being developed by the Federal Government in order to to popularize Science and Technology nationally, and Emilena Lorenzon Bianco – Deputy Director-Superintendent of the Paula Souza Center, a key partner of the Oracle Academy, who presented the impact that the Paula Souza Center has on training professionals and the new initiatives developed by the Center.
Also in the afternoon, we invited important partners to a panel in which, Andreia Santos (Centro Paula Souza), Emerson Costa (SENAI-SP), Vinícius Cassol (Ânima) and Alexandre Louzada (FAETEC-RJ), told about how these partners relate to Oracle Academy and what are beneficial for students of this type of relationship company x school. Wonderful to know and share success stories. In another Panel, Kadu Lopes, Oracle Customer Success Services VP, received Hercules Maimone – Member of the Executive Committee and Leading Partner of the Business Consulting practice at PWC Brazil and Viviane Lopes – IT Associate Director at B3, and talked about “The challenges of Talent development in the IT Market.”
During the event the students present had a special agenda! With the support of Oracle experts, students have received tips and information from sobre3 Foudations certifications available from Oracle University: OCI Foundations Associate, OCI AI Foundations Associate, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Data Foundations Associate. In addition, we had the award of the Academic Hackaton of Robotics Paula Souza. It was an entire event, thought out and focused on students.
In the last part of the event, Richard Delgado, Director of the Oracle Academy for Latin America, spoke about the Oracle Academy and the challenges of being a teacher in today’s context. We ended the event with the presence and talk of Marcelle Paiva, Oracle Vice President Cloud, Strategy, Business Development and Sales for Latin America.
Returning to a face-to-face event, for almost 400 people, among teachers, managers and students, being in touch with those who are impacted and mainly impact the lives of thousands of students and future professionals with Oracle technologies was very special. Undoubtedly, with the support of Oracle teachers, students, partners, experts, and executives, the Oracle Academy Summit 2024 goes into the history of technology education in Brazil.
