Oracle Academy hosted a bootcamp designed for higher education faculty from French-speaking countries in Sub Saharan Africa on December 4, 2024. With over 80 educators in attendance, this event aimed to introduce them to various Oracle technologies available for teaching and learning within the Oracle Academy program.
With the theme ‘Transformer votre enseignement et votre apprentissage avec Oracle Cloud et Intelligence Artificielle,’ the objective of the webinar was designed to equip attendees with the knowledge and skills to reach new heights in Oracle Cloud and Artificial Intelligence. The day was focused on aligning teaching of Oracle Academy curriculum with industry needs for future talent, incorporating hands-on projects and equipping the faculty with the required skills for teaching students cloud computing, Oracle APEX, and artificial intelligence.
The bootcamp featured experienced Oracle Solution Engineering from different countries, each bringing expertise in specific Oracle technologies. The presentations offered invaluable insights into different technology domains, which was enlightening for educators.
Oracle APEX – Marc Gueury, Oracle Belgium
Gueury, a Master Principal Account Cloud Engineer, demystified the world of Oracle APEX and artificial intelligence, its compatibility, deployment options, and architecture, shedding light on how educators can help students build apps faster. The session empowered educators with the knowhow to align their curriculum with the growing need for low-code/no-code development environments in real time.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure – Baufabiol Kouassi, Oracle Cote D’Ivoire
Kouassi, an Account Cloud Engineer, presented on OCI, giving an overview of OCI architecture and global compliance, as well as conducting hands-on labs. His session provided an overarching understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, thereby empowering educators to employ Oracle Academy’s OCI curriculum, which is aligned with industry needs. The hands-on session was filled with practical projects that demonstrated how educators could integrate real-world scenarios into their teaching.
