As part of the “Oracle APEX with Oracle Academy” project, promoted and implemented by Oracle Academy Italy, the second event of the training initiative aimed at high school students specializing in IT and technology proved to be a valuable moment of sharing and success.
The main objective of the initiative is to provide students with practical skills in the job market’s most in-demand programming languages, while also supporting them in developing essential soft skills such as effective communication, teamwork, and the ability to share ideas in a structured way.
During this second phase of the project, four competing teams had the opportunity to present their project ideas. Each team showcased their application proposal aimed at improving the quality of life for young people by leveraging innovative technologies and creative solutions. The presentations highlighted not only the technical proficiency the students had acquired but also their ability to work collaboratively, divide responsibilities, and effectively communicate their solutions. The event provided a concrete opportunity for them to develop fundamental soft skills required in the workplace, such as the ability to justify their choices and embrace constructive feedback.
A key moment of the event was the team discussion phase, where participants had the opportunity to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of their competitors’ projects. This stage allowed students to refine their critical thinking skills and learn new strategies to improve their solutions, fostering a climate of healthy competition and collaboration.
The event was not just a test of technical skills but also an important opportunity for personal growth. Participants understood the importance of a collaborative approach, time management, and adaptability to the challenges of teamwork.
