We are excited to announce the release of WebLogic Kubernetes Toolkit UI (WKT UI) version 2.0.0—a significant new milestone in streamlining the deployment of WebLogic domains and applications to Kubernetes environments.
What is WKT UI?
WKT UI provides an intuitive graphical interface, simplifying the process of provisioning and deploying WebLogic domains to Kubernetes clusters managed by the WebLogic Kubernetes Operator. It supports a range of Kubernetes vendors and seamlessly integrates with WebLogic Kubernetes Toolkit tools and other essential provisioning tools including:
- WebLogic Deploy Tooling (WDT)
- WebLogic Kubernetes Operator (WKO)
- WebLogic Image Tool (WIT)
- Docker/Podman, Helm, Kubernetes CLI
Key Capabilities
With WKT UI, you can:
- Introspect WebLogic Server domains and applications
- Build WebLogic Server Linux container images
- Provision the WebLogic Kubernetes Operator
- Deploy WebLogic Server domains to Kubernetes, managed by the WebLogic Kubernetes Operator
- Install and configure the Ingress Controller
- Set up and deploy all necessary software and configurations to access your WebLogic Server domains on Kubernetes clusters
What’s New in V2.0.0
Here are some of the major enhancements in this release:
- WDT Editor “Design View”:
A brand new WDT model editor lets you create and edit your WDT model files. This replaces the previous WebLogic Remote Console integration, aligning editing tasks with WDT MBeans and streamlining management of WDT Archives and Variables files.

- Target Architecture Selection:
You can now explicitly specify the target Kubernetes cluster architecture (for example, Linux on Intel/AMD) independent of the WKT UI host machine’s architecture. This addresses compatibility issues—such as running WKT UI on Apple Silicon Macs while targeting x86-based Kubernetes clusters (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Kubernetes Engine). - Centralized Container Registry Credentials:
WKT UI 2.0.0 centralizes the management of container image registry credentials, so you only need to enter your registry credentials once—no more repetitive entry across different sections of the UI.

And much more! For a comprehensive list of enhancements and bug fixes, please see the Release Notes in the WKT UI project.
We remain committed to continuously enhancing the tools in the WebLogic Kubernetes Toolkit, with the goal of making it even easier to deploy WebLogic Server domains and applications to Kubernetes clusters. Stay tuned for more updates as we introduce additional features and improvements based on your feedback.
Thank you for your continued support as we make deploying WebLogic on Kubernetes even easier. We encourage you to upgrade and explore the new features in WKT UI 2.0.0 today!
