Announcing Oracle Solaris 11.4 SRU33

We've just released SRU33 for Oracle Solaris 11.4. It is available via 'pkg update' from the support repository or by downloading the SRU from My Oracle Support Doc ID 2433412.1.

Some of the noteworthy improvements in this SRU include:

  • VirtIO guest support
    • The KVM/VirtIO guest support was added to Solaris in this SRU. This includes core PCI framework and driver support for blkdev, entropy, MAC layer network and SCSI.
  • Add support for new 18TB HDD Paris-C
  • Deliver SpiderMonkey 78

    Nice, great job! I wonder, is there any graphical interface for managing packages (and updates) available in Oracle Solaris 11.4?

    Daniel: Sorry, there is no GUI for managing packages or updates in 11.4, only the CLI and REST interfaces.
