Announcing Oracle Solaris 11.4 SRU10

Today we are releasing the SRU 10 for Oracle Solaris 11.4. It is available via 'pkg update' from the support repository or by downloading the SRU from My Oracle Support Doc ID 2433412.1.

This SRU introduces the following enhancements:

  • Inclusion of PHP 7.3.2 which includes xdebug 2.7.0
  • SCAT 5.5.1 has been added
  • GNU Parallel has been updated to 20190322
  • libvdpau has been updated to 1.2
  • pcre2 has been updated to 10.32
  • harfbuzz has been updated to 2.3.1
  • util-macros has been updated to 1.19.2
  • pixman has been updated to 0.38.0 and libSM to 1.2.3
  • libogg has been updated to 1.3.3
  • libevent has been updated to v2.1.8
  • libdrm has been updated to 2.4.97
  • xorg-server has been updated to 1.20.3
  • GNU Emacs has been updated to 26.1
  • xcb-proto has been updated to 1.13
  • libxcb has been updated to 1.13.1
  • libgpg-error has been updated to 1.36
  • gzip has been updated to 1.10
  • oniguruma has been updated to 6.8.2
  • tcl has been updated to 8.6

The following components have also been updated to address security issues:

  • sqlite has been updated to 3.28.0
  • poppler has been updated to 0.75.0
  • ntp has been updated to 4.2.8p13
  • Thunderbird has been updated to 60.7.0
  • Wireshark has been updated to 2.6.9
  • ICU has been updated to 63.1
  • Firefox has been updated to 60.7.0esr
  • Imagemagick has been updated to 6.9.10-34
  • Updates to nvidia driver & gnuplot.

    Hi, this release also resolves a critical issue that has impacted customers running Oracle VM Server for SPARC aka LDoms. Specifically, those customers having issues with vdisks going offline, preventing guest domains from booting after upgrading to Solaris 11.4 should install this SRU in their service domains ASAP, as the issue is now resolved.
