We’re pleased to announce that JDK 17 is now available for Oracle Solaris 11.4 on SPARC.
This release brings the long-term support (LTS) benefits of Java 17 to Solaris SPARC environments, helping teams modernize Java workloads while maintaining the stability and performance expected on Oracle Solaris SPARC platforms.
If you are running Java applications on Oracle Solaris SPARC, you can now download JDK 17 directly from Oracle here.
We encourage customers and partners to begin evaluating and adopting JDK 17 for current and future deployments on Oracle Solaris.
In addition, Oracle Solaris 11.4 SRUs continue to include JDK 8 for both SPARC and x86, for use by Oracle Solaris and Oracle Solaris Cluster.
