For this Partner Spotlight we talked with Vyasa Murthy and Raghothama Vijendran, Managing Partners at Venture Vertex LLC, about their Siebel CRM modernization platform and plans to work with customers moving to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Overview

Venture Vertex LLC is an official Oracle Partner Network member with operations in Frisco, Texas, and Bengaluru, India. The company focuses on building modernization products for Siebel CRM customers.

The practice comprises four principals across the United States and India. Its team brings prior experience of 20+ years working inside Oracle developing and testing Siebel software, managing major application updates and moving Fusion Applications to Oracle’s cloud. Venture Vertex draws on this background to help customers understand their existing Siebel systems and plan modernization with a clearer view of the work and risks involved.

Siebel CRM Offerings & Services

The company’s flagship platform, Patra, brings together three phases that customers can use separately or together:

  • Assessment: establish which parts of a customer’s Siebel CRM application are still used, helping teams decide what to retain, improve or retire.
  • Migration planning: prepare a staged move to Oracle’s cloud, with checks at each stage and plans for recovery if problems arise.
  • Operational insight: examine how people use the Siebel CRM application, where business processes stall, how software use compares with licence entitlements and what business transactions cost to run.

Patra is designed to make recommendations that customers can examine and challenge. Before recommending that a customization be retired, its assessment approach requires evidence that it has not been used across a full business cycle. The aim is to avoid carrying unnecessary complexity into a modernization programme while protecting functions the business still needs.

Cloud Offerings & Services

Patra supports planning for a move to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure by matching proposed cloud capacity to actual system use. It also helps teams assess how long the move could interrupt service and plan checks that business data has transferred correctly.

The platform is designed to complement Oracle’s existing upgrade and cloud migration tools. It prepares and validates plans; the customer’s delivery team remains responsible for approving and carrying out the move.

Venture Vertex sees continued value after the move through better visibility of operating costs, software use and the steps customers and employees take to complete business tasks.

Technical Innovation

Patra compares two sources of evidence: an analysis of how the application is built and records of what actually runs. This can reveal customizations that appear unused in a design review but still support live business activity. It can also identify functions that remain in the system despite no observed use.

Before removing a dormant customization, the platform’s approach is to disable it while monitoring for attempts to use it across a full business cycle. This provides an opportunity to discover hidden dependencies before permanent removal. Its process analysis also uses activity records to locate the particular step where users stop, helping teams investigate a specific business obstacle.

Vision

Our vision aligns with Oracle’s roadmap: shifting value from migration events to post‑migration intelligence, leveraging OCI telemetry for cost per transaction, entitlement vs. actual use, and journey‑based performance metrics.

Venture Vertex “Patra” system is available for reference and customer proof of concept. It is particularly appealing for any customers facing upgrade blockers or those that have already migrated and looking to reduce technical debt.
