In Image 42, you were introduced to the Specify Coverage Relationship on the Life and AD/D Plan Table feature that allows you to identify what relationships are eligible for coverage. For example, you can make only a Spouse relationship eligible for Spousal Life.

To continue on this enhancement theme for Life and AD/D Plan table, Image 43 provides the ability to add Dependent Rules as well. In the past this was limited to only Health Plans.

For example, many of you may want to limit the Child’s age for Life Insurance to the age of 21 unless the Child is a Student. Another common limit is upon marriage of the dependent or the ability to allow disabled dependents to be excluded from an age limit.

Now, when you specify coverage relationships you can also associate a Dependent Rule with the relationship. This provides you greater flexibility in ensuring your coverage rules are applied correctly.

For more information, see Image 43 Highlights.
