Oracle’s PeopleSoft Performance Management (aka ePerformance) is getting a makeover! For many customers who use Performance Management in PeopleSoft it has looked the same for many years. Although we have continuously improved the functionality, the look and feel of the performance document has not changed since the general availability of PeopleSoft 9.2. However, over the course of time many things have changed about the way we do business and with that change has come the need to change the way we do performance management.

PeopleSoft will begin delivering a new modern look and feel as well as new functionality to help in the performance management process. These new capabilities include the ability to utilize performance management on a phone as well as a tablet. While the ability to write a performance review on the phone may not seem appealing, we believe that allowing the performance document to be utilized on the phone opens a new set of possibilities.
Depending on the features of your phone you may be able to utilize dictation features such as speech to text that are native to the phone or tablet you are using. By having access to performance management on the phone this allows for managers to update the document at the time most covenant for them. Furthermore, employees and peers will also have access to the document via the phone. This will help to facilitate the completion of peer reviews as well as employee self-reviews. Lastly, managers and employees can have a conversation in a more relaxed environment without the need to have a computer or printed review.

Having Performance Management be mobile is only a small part of what is coming in PeopleSoft Performance Management, but we believe it will be an important part of the system that you will want to get ready for. The new functionality will be coming as part of an overall modernization of PeopleSoft’s Performance Management.
