As the episode begins, PeopleSoft experts take turns and share some of the features that they are most excited about, which include Landing Pages, Homepage Architecture, Global Search, Configurable Search, My Favorite Searches, Report Generation, Customization Insights, Interactive Insights, Smart Prompts and Dropdowns, and Containers.
Let’s take a look at what’s covered within some of the features mentioned in this episode:
- Landing Pages – PeopleTools 8.62 introduces landing pages, which provide a one-stop starting experience for every user and enables them to seamlessly navigate to relevant content and operational areas within the applications
- Smart Prompts and Dropdowns – With PeopleTools 8.62, prompts and drop-down fields are enhanced to respond to users previous choices and display relevant suggestions based on most frequently and recently used values. This will significantly improve user productivity.
- My Favorite Searches – This feature allows users to group and centralize their component-level searches in a single place. Additionally, search count and the ability to categorize favorite searches into groups has been made available.
- Interactive Insights – PeopleSoft Insights embedded in Fluid Pages and WorkCenters can now be made interactive, allowing users to filter, slice, and dice the data.
