PeopleSoft Asset Management is evolving, with exciting enhancements set to launch over the next 15 months. Designed to make your asset operations more flexible, transparent, and intuitive, these updates empower you to manage your assets more effectively—no matter your industry or organizational structure.

Smarter Data Management and Collaboration

Successful asset management starts with reliable data and efficient collaboration. To help you keep asset records current and accessible, we’re introducing a new spreadsheet upload function for non-financial asset fields. Updating details like location, custodian information, asset class, serial numbers, and manufacturer will become a faster, more consistent process for your whole team.

In addition, a centralized ALM Document Repository will streamline how you access and reuse documents across assets, leases, preventive maintenance schedules, and work orders—ensuring team members always have the information they need at their fingertips.

Financial Integrity and Operational Control

Handling close cycles with precision is essential to maintain financial data integrity. Our upcoming processing flag enhancement delivers targeted control by allowing administrators to restrict asset transactions during the close cycle. Administrators can now indicate when a close is underway and selectively permit certain users to continue, giving you peace of mind and stronger compliance.

For organizations tracking project attributions, you’ll soon be able to enter and update Project Costing Business Unit (PCBU) and Activity ID information directly with asset transactions. This makes it easier to align assets to projects and monitor costs without leaving the Asset Management system.

Additionally, we’re simplifying complex transactions with a new partial asset retirement spreadsheet upload template. Users will be able to process multiple partial retirements simultaneously, saving time and reducing the chance of manual entry errors.

Insights to Drive Better Decisions

To help you make informed, data-driven choices, Asset Management will soon offer enhanced analytics—delivering powerful new “Asset Insights by Category.” Visualizations highlighting the top 10 asset categories by count and by cost versus net book value will help you understand asset allocation, utilization, and value at a glance. This visibility supports smarter planning and resource optimization.

As these updates roll out, PeopleSoft Asset Management will continue to help you work more efficiently, maintain data integrity, and leverage actionable insights—all within a single, unified platform. Our goal is to be your trusted partner in asset management, delivering features that matter most to your business.
