It just turned spring and I’m thinking about autumn and Benefits Open Enrollment.

It may seem that I’m rushing the season but now is a great time to start working on fluid Benefits Open Enrollment for the fall. If you haven’t joined the other successful customers that are already using the fluid Benefits Enrollment what are you waiting on?  

Jump on this band wagon and give your employees the newest advancements in enrollment.  We have numerous customers across a broad spectrum of industries that have modernized their Open Enrollment and/or their Life Events and New Hires.  Here are some thoughts from just a few of them.

One of the first customers to go live last spring was the College of Lake County.  Kimberly Landmann told Reconnect 2019 attendees, “Benefits Fluid Open Enrollment was surprisingly easy to setup and our employees gave overwhelmingly positive feedback! The CIO was impressed with the new Open Enrollment experience. If you are entertaining the idea of testing and going live for your upcoming Open Enrollment, you will not be sorry!”

Tracy Swell from the County of Ventura started the process early last spring and by summer she was just waiting for open enrollment to begin.  She said, “Implementing Fluid Benefits Enrollment was easier than I could have ever imagined, and I’ve had nothing but positive responses from leadership and employees.  I would encourage other customers to “Just do it!”  They won’t regret it.”

Omaha Public Power District and Debra Ray took a different approach. They started with fluid Life Events and New Hires. “The setup/configuration for fluid benefits enrollment for life events and new hires was a piece of cake. I love that more and more things across the application are beginning to utilize the same tools, such as activity guide composer.  It makes administering the various applications more streamlined.” With this successful rollout, they then moved quickly to complete fluid open enrollment for the fall. 

“The new fluid tile design is a breath of fresh air…The intuitive design garnered praise around campus. … to choose enrollments from a phone or tablet is a huge step forward” are the sentiments of Teddy Lopez from the University of Arizona and the success they saw for their Open Enrollment. 

To assist you in getting started, go to Knowledge Document 2527623.1 for installation information and a listing of any bug fixes.  I would also encourage users to watch the Spot Light Video on Fluid Life Events. It’s a great video to walk you through how to create your activity guide, and also how to use the Acknowledgement and Questionnaire frameworks as well.  Check out last month’s blog on the Submit Button.
