What Are Digital Badges?

Digital badges are electronic credentials that validate specific skills, certifications, or accomplishments. Employees, managers, and peers can view earned badges from a centralized location, creating a personalized portfolio of accomplishments that reflects their learning journey and career development.

Digital Badges to Recognize Achievements and Milestones 

Badges can be awarded to individuals or groups, with recipient selection available manually, by group, or through file upload. Depending on configuration, additional award options may also be available through application class, or query criteria. Once awarded, badges can be reviewed, viewed in detail, or deleted through available actions.

Recognition remains one of the most powerful drivers of employee motivation. PeopleSoft HCM Digital Badging enables organizations to celebrate achievements in a meaningful and visible way by expanding on what we delivered with PeopleSoft Recognition.

Managers can include badges as part of team recognition. Employees are able to view recognition badges from the Recognition page, and badges are visible in several PeopleSoft HCM locations, including Directory, My Team, Team Snapshot, View Snapshot, Career Snapshot, Team Talent Profile, and Talent Profile.

Digital Badges on Directory, Profile, Digital Badges Page: As you can see, a new section Digital Badges has been added which displays all the badges the employee has received.

Digital Badges on the Team Snapshot Page: Notice that the Recognition and Badges section on Team Snapshot now displays a section for Digital Badges with all badges the employee has received.

Managers can View Badges of Team Members under Team Talent Profile:

Administrators can configure and manage award badges directly from the Recognition and Digital Badges dashboard. Dashboard administrators can set up and award badges to drive engagement and celebrate accomplishments.
