Distractions are coming at us from all sides. We have 24/7 news, streaming videos, internet and social media sites, and applications on our mobile devices that are sending us notifications day and night. Even while we are concentrating on work we have many competing items for our attention. There are conference calls, instant messages from teammates, emails, phone calls, and just your everyday job duties to perform.
With all of these distractions the Time and Labor Fluid WorkCenter can be a great help in focusing managers and Administrators on what is important. How? First off, there is a My Work pagelet which displays Alerts, Exceptions, and Approvals. All of the really important things for a Manager or Administrator to take care of.

Secondly, all of the links to other pages that you need, whether inside or outside of PeopleSoft, can be arranged under the Links pagelet. Administrators can allow you to create your own groups of links, reorder the link groups, reorder the links within a group, or even set whether you want to have the group automatically collapsed, all through the Personalize menu.

Thirdly, and maybe even fourthly depending on how you look at it, you can personalize the Queries and Reports/Processes pagelets in much the same way as you were able to personalize the Links pagelet. In the Queries pagelet you can add either public or private queries, as well as pivot grids. In the Reports/Processes pagelet you can add a new group with reports or processes that you get to from a menu item or from a URL.
Lastly, you can maintain the Scope Detail or Configure a new Scope. Scope will help you create different ways to filter your My Work Items, and be able to save those filters and apply them later by simply selecting the Scope definition you want.
